Gizelle E. Tircuit

Licensed Professional Counselor, MS, LPC, DBTC

Gizelle E. Tircuit-Posey is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Connecticut. She received an M.S. in General Psychology from Walden University in 2007, an M.S. in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University in 1997, and a B.A. in Psychology from Southern University at New Orleans and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Walden University. She has been co-owner of Magnolia Wellness, LLC since 2016. She is a primary therapist with Care Plus-Natchaug Hospital, a division of Hartford Hospital where she facilitates an intensive outpatient program for professionals. Most recently, she joined the faculty at Mitchell College in New London, CT as an adjunct professor in Psychology. A strong advocate for emotional disabled students and dual diagnosed individuals, she is a member of Positive Parenting of Connecticut and the North American Society for Adlerian Psychology (NASAP), and a certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist. She believes in the individual’s ability to strive for success and overcome misdirected goals. Areas of professional interests are brain-based learning, mindful meditation, and positive psychology. Her current projects include research in Disruptive Mood Dysregulation  Disorder. She has been an honored member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology since 2007.
